This is the third book in the Rule Series. If you haven't read Vampires Rule and Werewolves Rule, you should start with them.

This is a great book for the young and the young at heart. Teens in middle school enjoy them as well as girls in high school, and they are widely read by women past the age of thirty who want to read a book without graphic scenes or a lot of cursing.
The Rule Series consists of five books Vampires Rule, Werewolves Rule, Shifters Rule, Wizards Rule, and Mortals Rule (which will be released some time during the year of 2015).

When a werewolf tried to kill Jack, he was saved by vampires. When he grew tired of the fangs, another freak event restored his mortality. Now all he wants to do is go to school and be a normal teen, but what's normal about a werewolf English teacher, a girlfriend who happens to be THE werewolf hunter, and a brother who can't make up his mind if he wants to welcome Jack home or stake him through the heart to be on the safe side?
If things aren't complicated enough, Silver insists Jack has a destiny to fulfill. He's supposed to kill the head werewolf in time to save the world from a growing army of the hairy beasts. She tells him a strange story about a fairy, an enchanted journal, and a magical rock that will kill only once. Now Jack has a decision to make. Will he ignore Silver's pleas for help or put his life at risk again? Will he go after a werewolf that never hurt him or the one that murdered his parents?

As I read each of these books The rhythm of the authors style is easier to handle. I do not feel that see-saw of going from one travesty after another. The characters have been growing in depth and more complicated the further we go in the story arch.It is getting harder and harder to put the book down. Which for me is not necessarily a bad thing. I am disabled so I do not have to go anywhere so I will just say as a warning for those that work...watch your time with these books and set a limit cause you could find yourself up all night if you are not careful.
The layers have been great watching them unfold in these books . Even with the introduction with new characters they are an important part of those layers. Nope no spoilers here enjoy reading them yourself.

Why have you not finished the last two books? You have had over a year to finish Wizards Rule. Do you like people to wait or did you just decide to quit writing?????? I hate when writers just give up on a series and let down there readers. Hear I have downloaded 2 of your books and now I can't download the last 2 and really pisses me off so you are getting a bad review.
Excellent read! This is book 3 of the Rule Series & it keeps the reader turning pages from beginning to end! I must admit that I was hoping for a different ending for Jack so on to book 4 to see what happens next. Highly recommended!
Most vampire series` that I read become boring and almost predictable... I love these books they add new characters and we learn new secrets threw out each book... and the ending...not what I expected and I'm very excited about the next book.... I'll be looking for Warlocks Rule )
This series does what a good story should, it entertains. The characters are full if somewhat dense at times. Although this book is YA it is a love story and women of all ages need love stories.
I've read the first two of this series and have to finish it. I like the storyline of it. Lots of twists and turns. Can't wait to start the next one.
The first two books were awesome, this one did not hold my interest as well as the others. Still good but could only give it a four star.
I originally posted this review with having only read about 3/4 way through the book. I was growing bored with it and thought I would never end up finishing it. Once I finished it (glad I did), I adjusted my scoring.
The original review I am a series kinda girl - love love love having characters that I already know. This book in no exception, but with having said that, it also feels too...the same; I've become a little bored. Each book brings a new conflict, but yet previous conflicts seem to be dragging on without much resolution. Too many balls in the air maybe?
I'm more than halfway through, but haven't read it on a steady basis - again, became a little bored. I like it.. I just don't love it as I had the first and second books. Who knows, maybe the plot will make a complete turn and blow me away.
